In the beginning, the trail pierces Shivapuri National Park passing through a big watershed that provides 40 percent drinking to Kathmandu Valley. Chisapani Nagarkot Trek offers beautiful nature and village walk experience, natural environment, stunning Himalaya panorama of Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal, Gaurishankar Himal, and even we can spot Mount Everest in the far distance.
Your first destination is Chisapani after walking about 6-7 hours to Sundarijal. The weather in Chisapani is always cold as its name is Chisapani, meaning “cold water” in Nepali where you will enjoy the real boon of nature being away from the noise of Kathmandu feeling better to be away from crowded busy city life and your interaction with the local people will add another experience. Walking through the jungle and hearing bird chirpings to Lapsi Phedi from Chisapani is a pleasurable excursion.
We have a lunch break in Jule or Chauki Bhanjyang village after walking 3 hours from Chisapani and after having lunch hiking continues to Nagarkot, the beautiful village full of standard hotels, lodges, and resorts. Early sunrise view from Nagarkot is the most fascinating and mesmerizing view reflecting rays of the sun to the White Mountains. Nagarkot with a height of 2188 meters from sea level is on the edge of the valley and offers superb views of the mountains as well as Kathmandu valley.

Chisapani Nagarkot Trek is one of the short and sweet trek near Kathmandu. This trek is best among the tourist who have limited time but want to experience the taste of Nepal. The term Chisapani, where ‘Chisa’ means cold and ‘Pani’ means water. Thus, the meaning of Chisapani is cold water.
Term Nagarkot, where ‘Nagar’ means a city, and ‘Kot’ means the top of the hill. The meaning becomes the top of the hill situated close to the town or city on the top of hill. Mind-blowing waterfalls and rivers perfectly blended with the trees and forests are explored during this trek.

Usually, Chisapani Nagarkot Trek start from Sundarijal. Which is one hour drive from Kathmandu. The first destination after walking about 5/6 hours from Sundarijal is Chisapani. Similarly, we pass through Mulkharka i.e of Tamang community with uniques settlements.
From Chisapani to Nagarkot normally it take about six hours. Mostly tourist stop for lunch at Chauki Bhanjyang after 3 hours walking from Chisapani. Early in the morning in Nagarkot, one can see the great views of a sunrise with a reflection of the white Himalayas.
