The cost of Kanchenjunga Trek permits can vary depending on the time of year and the length of your trek. The Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Permit (KCAP) costs either $20 per person per week during the peak season (September to November) or $10 per person per week during the off-season (December to August).
The Restricted Area Permit (RAP) costs either $10 per person per week during the peak season or $5 per person per week during the off-season. Additionally, for treks longer than two weeks, an extra $25 per person per week is charged for both the KCAP and RAP. Children under ten years old are not charged a permit fee, while those between ten and sixteen years old are charged fifty percent of the adult fee.
It’s important to note that the fees are subject to change, so it’s best to confirm with a registered trekking agency to get the latest information and to have them arrange for payment of the permit fees.
