The Nepal Tourism Board has presented Nepal as the ‘Adventure Tourism Capital’ in the world at the ‘Travel and Adventure Show-2025’ held in Denver, Colorado, USA.
The Tourism Board has organized a special program at the Sampannan Adventure Show on March 8-9 to present Nepal as an adventure and safe tourism destination.
The board has decided to provide one person from the participating tourism entrepreneurs with a free trek to the Everest Base Camp through a lucky draw. The lucky draw has been won by American tourism entrepreneur Upla Seifert. She has to visit Nepal from March to May. The board will bear the expenses incurred during the visit to Nepal.
The board believes that this will further help in promoting and publicizing Nepal’s tourism in the American market. The official website of the Adventure Show mentions Nepal as the capital of adventure travel.
‘Eight of the 14 peaks above 8,000 meters in the world are in Nepal. That is why Nepal is an excellent destination for mountaineers,’ the website says, ‘The amazing natural beauty, geographical diversity and rich cultural heritage provide Nepal with a unique experience for adventure travelers.’
In addition to trekking, Nepal is also known for adventure tourism activities such as mountaineering, rafting, paragliding, bungee jumping, zip-lining, and jungle safari, the website states.
After the Corona pandemic, the tourism board is intensifying tourism promotion, publicity, and tourism activities in various countries of the world to attract tourists to Nepal.
Nine private tourism entrepreneurs from Nepal participated in the adventure show. The special event organized by Nepal was attended by heads and representatives of 55 American tour operator companies.
