Lying to the northwest of Kathmandu, the Ganesh Himal Base Camp trek is one of the nearest and most beautiful treks in the Himalayas. Named after the Hindu god Ganesh, the shape of the Ganesh I peak, when seen at a closer distance, looks like the head of the elephant.

Ganesh Himal Region Trek is located in Dhading district, to the northwest of Kathmandu. It is a cluster of nearly 20 peaks, flanking west of Manaslu Himal. The highest points of the trek are the Shingle pass (4200m) and the Pasang La pass (4100m).
Similarly, the trail offers spectacular views of Ganesh I (7406m), Langtang (7300m), Annapurna (8091m), and Fishtail (6990m). As well as Manaslu (8163m), Lamjung (6800m), Ganesh II, Ganesh III, Ganesh IV, Boudha Himal, and Hiunchuli.
There are 526 species of plants, 300 species of birds, and many attractive wild animals. One of the major highlights of this trek is the natural exploration of the twin waterfall Ganga Jamuna.
Besides that, the native people of this area are Gurungs, Tamangs, Magars, Newars, and Brahmins. The homestay will provide an experience to observe their lifestyles, cultures, food, and customs.
