Kami Rita Sherpa’s 27th accomplishment on Mt. Everest and breaking his own record.

Seven submit Treks revealed that world recorder-holder climber Kami Rita Sherpa arrived at the culmination of Mount Everest for the 27th time toward the beginning of today.

As part of the Seven Summit Treks Everest Expedition 2023, Kami Rita Sherpa summited Mount Everest for the incredible 27th time on 18 May 2023.

Kami Rita Sherpa, a senior guide at Seven Summit Treks and a native of Thame village in Solukhumbu, Nepal, has become synonymous with the world’s highest peak thanks to his lifelong commitment to mountaineering.

He was born on January 2, 1970, and has been climbing mountains for more than two decades. From a young age, he developed a deep passion for climbing.

In 1992, he joined an expedition to Everest as a support staff and began his mountaineering journey. From that point forward, Kami Rita has courageously left on various endeavors, summiting Everest on different occasions. Beyond Everest, Kami Rita has also conquered K2, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, and Manaslu, all of which are formidable peaks.
